At Assure Health Care Group, we understand that finding a day treatment program with experienced and compassionate staff can be a challenge. While many of our clients still enjoy their independence, they might require some assistance, and our qualified care professionals go above and beyond to deliver on our promise of A Higher Standard of Care to the individuals and families they serve.

 Program Details


  • Program hours are M-F 8:30am-4:30pm. Social Saturday Groups using Respite available in Tucson on Saturdays 9a-1pm 
  • 4 locations to serve you: Mesa, East Tucson, North West Tucson, and Sahuarita/Green Valley. 
  • Onsite Thrift store (coming soon to Tucson employment programs)
  • Onsite Music Therapy (Mesa only)
  • Transportation available (Limited to 10 miles from our site and current route in the area)
  • DDD and ALTCS accepted 
  • Targeted group ratios 1:4

   Eligibility Requirements

  • Qualify for DDD Services and have a qualifying diagnosis of Autism, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy or a cognitive delay
  • ​Age range: 18+ years old
  • Have graduated or transitioned from high school
  • ​Have DDD/ALTCS
  • Demonstrate sufficient medical, emotional, social and behavioral stability to participate in a group setting. 1:1 support is not available at this time.

  1. Fill out the member interest form below and we will call you to schedule a tour to see if we are a good fit for your loved one!
  2. Complete our Intake packet
  3. Discuss the program with your DDD Support Coordinator and authorize DTA hours to Assure Health Care Group!

What is a day program?
A day program is a structured, supportive program for adults with disabilities to build independent living, social, and vocational skills in a safe, engaging environment.

What are your program hours?
Our program runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

Who can attend your day program?
Adults (18+) with disabilities who are eligible through DDD/ALTCS or private pay may attend our program. We welcome individuals with various support needs and abilities.

My loved one has speech therapy during the week, do you allow therapists to see them at the program?
Yes! Please contact us to make sure we are not on an outing!

Do you accept DDD/ALTCS funding and private pay?
Yes, we accept DDD and ALTCS funding for eligible participants. Please contact us about private pay

What types of activities do participants do each day?
Participants engage in structured activities including community outings, vocational training, art, music, cooking, social skills groups, and life skills practice.

Do you provide transportation?
Transportation may be available through DDD or families may arrange transportation privately. Please contact us to discuss your transportation needs.

Do participants get to go into the community?
Yes! We offer regular community outings to practice real-world skills and promote social inclusion.

Can participants work while attending the day program?
Yes, our day program includes opportunities for vocational training, including hands-on experience at our integrated thrift shop, and we support participants in developing work readiness skills. 

Do you accept part time participants?
Yes! Please contact us for a part time schedule- (minimum of 2 full days to ensure staff)

What should participants bring each day?
Participants should bring a packed lunch, a reusable water bottle, and any personal care items needed throughout the day.

Are meals provided?
Participants bring their own lunch daily. We offer weekly cooking activities where participants can prepare and enjoy meals as part of life skills training. We also host parties for holidays throughout the year, where we host potlucks and catered lunch for our participants and staff!

Is there a nurse on staff?
We do not have a nurse on-site, and are a non medical day program, but our staff are trained in CPR, First Aid, and providing quality care for individuals with disabilities.

How do I enroll my family member in the day program?
Please contact us to schedule a tour and intake meeting. We will guide you through the DDD referral process and discuss your family member’s goals and needs.

How do you ensure safety in the program?
We have a secure facility, trained staff, and maintain small group ratios to ensure supervision and individualized attention.

We focus on participant choice, individualized goals, integrated vocational training opportunities, and creating a joyful, respectful environment where individuals thrive.
